Some early concept designs
The sensors boards were machined on a milling machine. Each sensor was composed or 3 boards, the front one with the connector, diagnostic LED and termination switch, a board with the power supply and the CANBus electronic (signal conditioning and protocol) and the sensor board itself (either ATMega, ARM microcontroller or Raspberry Pi Zero)
